Mattie Rhodes Art Gallery & Center are pleased to announce our 18th annual Dia de los Muertos event! This exhibit celebrates the colorful and loving traditional Mexican holiday. As always, we have invited artists, families, school groups and community members to create traditional, contemporary and personal altars and Day of the Dead inspired art work.

Our Closing Reception & Calaca Night Parade is Friday, November 4th from 6pm – 10pm! Join us to celebrate the holiday with live music, face painting, great food, amazing altars, beautiful art and plenty of fun. The parade begins at 7pm at Tony Aguirre Community Center and runs down West Pennway to the gallery. Please come dressed in your favorite Dia de los Muertos gear! There are prizes for best dressed!

All are welcome to join the parade or relax and watch from West Pennway. See you Friday!

We’d love your help! If you are interested in volunteering with us for the event, contact Angela Brunner at abrunner@mattierhodes.org for more information.
