Mattie Rhodes Center believes that the arts are a basic and integral part of every person’s education and growth. Our goal is to educate the community about Latino culture and traditions through the visual arts.
Together the Mattie Rhodes Art Center and Art Gallery offer a wide range of creative programs and opportunities for children and adults, including:

Mark your calendars for Mattie Rhodes Center’s 19th Annual Day of the Dead Exhibition, Festival & Night Parade taking place every year in Kansas City’s Westside Community.
Join us for our First Friday Exhibit Opening on October 6th, featuring exceptional artwork and traditional altars celebrating Dia de los Muertos.
Bring the family for Saturday’s street festival and enjoy live entertainment, local artisans/vendors, food and art activities on October 7th.
