Art Camps
For twelve years, Mattie Rhodes Art Center has provided creative and educational opportunities for Kansas City children through art camps. Art Camp participants are encouraged to celebrat
e diversity through the arts, as well as to explore the traditions of other cultures. Instructors use a variety of teaching methods to stimulate imaginations while continuously cultivating creative expression, confidence, self-discovery and respect for others.
Art camps offer a variety of artistic mediums for children to explore:
- ceramics
- fiber/craft
- cultural art
- mixed media
- painting/printmaking

Spring Art Camp
If you are looking for something fun and different for your creative kiddos to do during Spring Break, why not send them to Spring Art Camp! We offer four days of creative fun.
Days: March 15 - 18, 2011 (Tuesday - Friday)
Sign up for one day or sign up for all 4 days!
Hours: 9:00am - 3:30pm
(8:30am drop off and 3:30pm pick up)
Ages: 5 - 12
Fee: $110
($35 per day per child)

Summer Art Camps
The summer camp that is strictly art! Join us for an exciting art adventure filled with creative art lessons that will enliven the imagination. Five one-week sessions are offered each summer, covering five areas of art instruction including ceramics, fiber/craft, cultural art, mixed media and painting/printmaking.
Days: Tuesday - Friday
Hours: 9:00am - 3:30pm
(8:30am drop off & 3:30pm pick up)
Ages: 5 - 12
Fee: $150 per week
(includes all materials, snacks and a t-shirt)
* Please bring a sack lunch Tuesday-Thursday. On Fridays we have a cook out and families are invited to sign up for the pot-luck.

Scholarships Available!
Ask about our scholarship program. Scholarships are available on a first come first serve basis and all information is kept confidential.
