Art Camp
Mattie Rhodes Art Center’s popular 4-day art camps, offered in the Spring and Summer, are designed for children ages 5 through 13. Participants come from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Students are encouraged to celebrate their own cultural heritage through the arts, as well as to explore the traditions of other cultures.
Talented instructors use a variety of teaching methods to stimulate imaginations while continuously cultivating creative expression, confidence, self-discovery and respect for others. Parents report that the safe, central location and affordable, quality programming make the camp appealing to them.
Art camp offers a variety of artistic mediums for children to explore:
- Ceramics
- Fiber/Craft
- Cultural Art
- Mixed Media
- Printmaking/Photography
